Beneficiary Information

The owners of many accounts name payable-on-death (POD) beneficiaries for the accounts. That means that when the account owner (or the last surviving owner, in the case of a joint account) dies, the POD beneficiary can simply claim the money from the Credit Union. The deceased person's will does not come into play, and there's no need for any probate court involvement, either.

POD designations are widely used because they're simple both for the person who sets them up and the beneficiaries who inherit. Please indicate below if you would like to include a beneficiary at this time.

The field of membership of GP Federal Credit Union, Rome, Georgia ("Us"), is limited to those having a common bond of association, occupation or residence. By submitting your application to open an account with Us, you are also agreeing to become a member of the Financial Fitness Association ("Them"), and agreeing to allow Us to share your name, mailing address, and email address with Them. There is a fee of $5 for an individual to join GP Federal Credit Union ($10 for joint membership) and a fee of $8 for the first year of membership to the Financial Fitness Association. These fees will be paid by GP Federal Credit Union on your behalf. Your membership to the Financial Fitness Association does NOT automatically renew. If you wish to keep your membership with the Financial Fitness Association beyond the first year, you must pay your dues for subsequent years; however, should you decide NOT to keep your membership with the Financial Fitness Association beyond the first year, you WILL remain a member of GP Federal Credit Union for as long as your account with Us remains open and in good standing.
